The Golden Bulls would open the scoring early, after holding WSSU on their first possession. And on JCSU’s first play from scrimmage, Jordan Lane would find a wide open Fred Scott down the right sideline for a 63 yard scoring play to give the Golden Bulls the early lead.

Austin Jacques Named CIAA Linebacker of the Week For the Second Consecutive Week

Jacques had 17 total tackles on the afternoon in poor playing conditions, including 11 solo stops. He also registered 2.0 tackles for loss for 13 yards. He also had one pass breakup that was nearly an interception. Jacques is currently the top JCSU tackler with 52 stops on the season, 8.5 for loss.

Bowie State Defense Makes Difference in 34-21 Road Win at Johnson C. Smith

The Bowie State University defense made two huge plays to help the Bulldogs capture a 34-21 road win at Johnson C. Smith University on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Bulldogs remain unbeaten in conference play at 2-0 and improve to 4-1 overall. The loss, JCSU’s third in a row, dips the Golden Bulls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in league play.
